How do you feel at the beginning of a path, on the threshold of a forest? How do you feel at the beginning of an exhibition path, on the threshold of an ecosystem of artworks? In both cases, you have to learn to read the signs to orient yourself and connect with the world of perception. For Façonner son sentier, Sébastien Michaud sculpted his photographs, taken in 2022 in D’Arts et de rêves, an art park in Sutton, giving them shape through unique and ingenious strategies. Each of the twenty small picture or sculpture stations invited you to stop at the image, as you would stop at look-out points to view noteworthy fragments of landscape, so that what is before your eyes can stay with you.

Based in Larouche in the Haut-Saguenay region, Mariane Tremblay (MFA, Université du Québec à Chicoutimi) works in the visual-arts field as an artist, author, cultural worker, and college professor. She contributes, in words and visuals, to various magazines published in France, Germany, and Quebec.
