There are works that don’t make a splash but unexpectedly draw close, grazing us like a breath. Jacynthe Carrier’s works always do this, and more: they reach out and softly embrace us. Her exhibition presented at DRAC – Art actuel Drummondville, du seuil à la cime, invited visitors to slow down, listen, and perceive in different ways what often remains unsuspected and invisible: a place of transit – on the edge, ignored and forgotten – of unconscious shared gestures. She offered a nearby interstice that we could see differently, with an attention that surpassed comprehension.

A cultural worker for more than a decade, Jean-Michel Quirion is gaining experience in managing artist-run centres. He regularly contributes articles to specialized magazines such as Ciel variable, ESPACE art actuel, and Vie des arts. As a curator, he has organized exhibitions here and abroad, from Montreal to Berlin.
